Consistent with the philosophy that defines the daily work of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation in the Dolomite Mountains, the tenth anniversary marks another opportunity for joint initiatives.
The Foundation is planning numerous events. The official celebration will take place on 26th June in Cortina and will include a very symbolic performance: four music groups from the four Dolomite areas will perform together as a visible sign of the unity in diversity that is an essential feature of the UNESCO Dolomites. During the celebration there will also be a presentation of a publication, prepared especially for this important anniversary.
The packed programme for the month of June includes the official opening of the panoramic balcony of the UNESCO Dolomites in St. Christina in the Val Gardena on 16th June.
A day in the Dolomites on 26th June
The idea of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation is that on 26th June everyone will document their day in the Dolomites. A communal, shared day which is unique to everyone, captured with your own smartphone, which will be combined with many other videos to become a colourful and exciting film.
